Is the Sea Level rising? Well according to the data from this new NASA report the answer is yes and it has been rising since they have been measuring it with satellites. The shocking thing is the rate of increase and the reason for that increased rate of rise in the past year. One of the ways to confirm this is happening due to thermal expansion is to get accurate CTD measurements of the deep Ocean to determine salinity, temperature and depth which allows for density calculations. D-2 can provide CTD’s that provide Oceanographic level accuracy.
Ocean News Titanic rusticles had to be included in this episode for obvious reasons as D-2 Inc is in a building built originally by Robert Ballard. Hopefully this wreck is not completely eaten away by the rust!
It’s fascinating to see the phytoplankton bloom as photographed by NASA satellites. Then to see right after in the news the right whales are returning to eat the phytoplankton! It’s almost as if the whales have their own satellite surveillance to know when to return!
